Lexus is the luxury wing of the Japanese company Toyota and its cars range from small sedans to full-size SUVs. The company also manufactures several hybrid cars including hybrid versions of the NX, UX and RX

Lexus cars are known for their reliability ratings, high ratings and a great cabin. Lexus also offers some sporty F-Sport models, although they do not always match the sporty competitors from BMW, Acura and Cadillac.

2022 Lexus UX Hybrid Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus UX Hybrid ranks late in the luxury hybrid SUV category due to its poor powertrain and hard-to-use infotainment controls.

The 2022 Lexus UX 250h is a good SUV that gets good fuel economy even by hybrid SUV standards. Other attractive features include stylish cabin, spacious seats and comfortable ride.

However, this luxury hybrid is hampered by a weak powertrain and dispersed infotainment controls, and the load carrier is also small.

Even among luxury hybrids, there are better options than the Lexus UX Hybrid. For example, the redesigned Lexus NX Hybrid is available with either plug-in hybrid or plug-in hybrid engines that provide an estimated 36 miles of electric-only range.

Or you may also want to check out the petrol-only Lexus UX but keep in mind that it is front-wheel drive only while the UX Hybrid is all-wheel drive

Other non-hybrid alternatives worth considering include the BMW X1 or the Volvo XC40

2022 Lexus RX Hybrid Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid has a classy cabin, many features, and the powertrain is capable and powerful, but not as spacious, fuel-efficient or agile as some competitors.

The 2022 Lexus RX Hybrid is a good luxury hybrid SUV that does most things satisfactorily but not great and the cabin comes packed with high-quality materials and infotainment features although some are complicated to use.

The standard two-row chassis design features roomy seating for five but not too much storage space. The RX L Hybrid is a three-row, six-seater model that offers more storage but less seating.

Under the hood is a powerful hybrid engine that delivers fast acceleration, but the fuel economy is fairly decent for a luxury SUV class, and while the ride is comfortable, the handling is even more impressive.

You should at least consider the Lexus RX Hybrid if you want a high-tech, heavy-duty SUV that is easy to drive every day and is fairly fuel efficient.

However there are hybrid alternatives that are less expensive than this Lexus and provide better fuel mileage and for a more fuel-efficient vehicle you may want to consider a plug-in hybrid or electric SUV.

2022 Lexus RX Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus RX achieves the most important aspect of a luxury SUV and they feature a stylish interior, enjoyable driving quality, supportive seats and many technologies

The 2022 Lexus RX 350 is a good SUV that offers good handling and a smooth ride. The V6 engine does its job without any fuss. The cabin is elegant and refined with two rows of comfortable seats and a long list of standard features.

However, the 2022 Lexus RX has some shortcomings, which are the lower-than-average payload capacity and the third row in the RX L models is very narrow.

The RX should take a look from most luxury mid-size SUV shoppers. It’s a good car and most of its flaws are really just areas where it’s satisfactory but not quite up to the standards set by the competitors.

But put a lower-than-average price tag on the Lexus RX and that’s a compelling value in the SUV segment. There’s also a Lexus RX Hybrid that we cover in a separate review.

2022 Lexus RC Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus RC is ranked in the last small coupe car, due to the superiority of its competitors in terms of sporty driving, rear seat space and the possibility of using information and entertainment

The 2022 Lexus RC is a high-end luxury car that features a refined interior, excellent build quality, good ride and plenty of standard and optional features and is one of the highest reliability expected in the segment.

Lexus RC is only offered in coupe body form and strives to present itself as a sporty offering. However in this respect it comes short with a serviceable base engine and modest handling compared to the competitors.

Rear seat and luggage space are among the worst in its class, fuel economy is very low, and the infotainment system controls are extremely complex.

Lexus RC’s base price is higher than most of the rest of the class, so you’ll likely be able to get a better car for the same amount of money or less.

The BMW 4 Series or the Audi A5 are more accurate examples of luxury compact cars that deserve serious consideration

2022 Lexus NX Hybrid Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus NX Hybrid has fuel economy estimates and a smooth ride, but it doesn’t have as much space as other luxury hybrid SUVs and the use of the infotainment system can be confusing.

The 2022 Lexus NX Hybrid is a good SUV to have with a hybrid powertrain or plug-in hybrid powertrain and both are quite fuel efficient when compared to other hybrid luxury SUVs.

The plug-in hybrid NX has a range of 36 miles of electric-only range, and this car also features fast acceleration and a first-class cabin.

If you are interested in a luxury compact car with good fuel economy, the Lexus NX Hybrid is a solid choice. However, there are plenty of great alternatives.

One of the competitors is the BMW X3 is a luxury compact SUV with longer fuel mileage and a more intuitive infotainment system. You might also want to consider a non-hybrid Lexus NX that is similar to a hybrid but with a lower starting price.

2022 Lexus NX Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus NX features groomed handling and a luxurious and airy cabin, but the main reason it ranks near the bottom of the compact luxury SUV segment has more to do with the strength of its competitors than any of the NX’s flaws.

The redesigned 2022 Lexus NX is a luxury compact SUV. The NX features a spacious and distinct interior with comfortable seats, a relatively user-friendly infotainment system, and a wealth of active safety systems.

It also feels agile and stable on the open road and provides a smooth ride over bumps and dips and provides a smooth ride over bumps and dips. Engine options range from the fuel-efficient NX 250 to the powerful NX 350, and Lexus also makes the NX Hybrid, which we review separately.

2022 Lexus LX Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus LX ranks late in the large luxury SUV category due in part to some unsuitable driving dynamics and modest seat and luggage space.

The Lexus LX has been completely redesigned for 2022 and while it’s better than the outgoing model, it now falls into only a good category instead of a bad one.

Now equipped with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, this large luxury SUV takes huge strides forward in both fuel economy and acceleration but is heavy on ride and handling.

Inside there are all the upscale touches required and a satisfactory touchscreen infotainment system but loading space is shoddy and you don’t get the comfy seating you do from other luxury brand SUVs.

You probably shouldn’t buy a 2022 Lexus LX with around $87,000 which is really high for the class but you’ll get a better car for your money by going with any number of competitors in the segment

2022 Lexus LS Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus LS ranks at the bottom of the luxury sedan segment. The LS features a spacious and luxurious interior, a comfortable ride, an active V6 engine, and its rating is more related to the strength of its competitors and the acceptable available LS hybrid system.

The 2022 Lexus LS is a good luxury sedan and the LS 500 has a turbocharged V6 engine with loads of muscle and pampers passengers with a smooth ride and comfortable seats.

The interior is trimmed and finished with high-quality materials, there’s plenty of room for passengers to stretch out, and the LS also offers several standard features, which is a relatively good bargain alongside competing luxury car groups.

However the Lexus LS isn’t nimble or exciting to drive, its infotainment system is a bit distracting, and the LS 500h Hybrid isn’t very good in terms of refinement, performance, and fuel efficiency.

The 2022 Lexus LS 500 is worth considering if you are shopping for a high-quality luxury car that puts comfort and interior quality above all else and this is one of the most comfortable and easy cars for long commutes or road trips.

But on the other hand, if you want a luxury car that does not have the downsides of the LS, then any other car in the class would be a better option, including the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Porsche Panamera. Just be aware that you will pay a little more for these competitors compared to the LS, including over For an additional $30,000 for Mercedes and $12,000 for a Porsche

2022 Lexus LC Pros And Cons

The new 2022 Lexus LC is classified in the middle of the luxury sports car category. It offers strong acceleration, good handling characteristics, an elegant cabin, but it comes with a narrow rear seat and luggage space, and the infotainment controls are cumbersome.

The 2022 Lexus LC is a very good car. Almost all luxury sports cars are good or great. The LC offers two excellent powertrain options. A noisy V8 engine and a fuel-efficient hybrid setup, both of which push you quickly and help provide dynamic and quiet handling as well. Inside you will find premium materials and a solid build quality

You can pardon or overlook some of the Lexus LC’s downsides given the performance-focused nature of the sports car segment. The rear row comes with two very small seats, less boot space than most competitors, and what fails the most is the outdated infotainment system.

The Lexus LC is worth considering if you want a high-performance vehicle, especially if you like a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain or are fond of the convertible version on the standard coupe. However, with a base price of more than $93,000, you may find it’s best to watch the cheaper competitors.

Many competitors offer more direct sport driving than an LC for much less money. Check out a Chevrolet Corvette, a Porsche Boxster, a Porsche Cayman, or if you can stretch your budget beyond the price of an LC there is a 2022 Porsche 911.

2022 Lexus IS Pros And Cons

The new Lexus IS 2022 is classified in the late category of small luxury sedans, and it offers the IS system good control, a variety of engines and a wide range of standard safety systems, but it lags behind the competitors in interior space, ease of use of infotainment and fuel economy

The 2022 Lexus IS is a decent choice in the luxury small car segment. The IS sedan features a high-quality interior design with comfortable front seats and a host of active safety features.

With a nimble feel to drive on winding roads yet still ride comfortably over rough terrain, its standard four- and six-cylinder engines are good and the new V8 option for 2022 brings superpowers.

However, these advantages are almost outweighed by the negatives. There is minimal rear seat and luggage space and the infotainment system can be a distraction when in use.

You should check out other small luxury sedans first before considering the 2022 Lexus IS. Better options include the Genesis G70, BMW 3 Series, and Audi A4. These options offer more passenger space and easier-to-use infotainment systems.
